BRIEF WORKSHOP

This was a session that went through basically what we want from this year and the future, to plan what our interests are and our ambitions. It is was a chance to really just to stop and think.

The first sheet we wrote out was our individual goals of what Want to do and what we Want to achieve.

The next sheet we had to write was to think of the themes, contexts and products that were appropriate to us and what we wanted to do with them. Themes being subjects, Contexts were disciplines, and Products, the function.

Finally once again we had to think of what we want and what we need. To do this I wrote out the skills, processes and products that I would both want and need and to see the correlation between these and how I need to start thinking about the process of myself as a designer. For example if I want to design a typeface as a product I would need to have a good type knowledge and be able to use a program like Fontographer.

This is has helped me realise what it is I need to get from the course and this last year of college, how I want to be as a designer.
